Meet Kat

I'm a senior at the University of Washington, graduating in the spring of 2025 with a degree in Journalism and Public Interest Communication—though my interests have evolved far beyond the newsroom. I’ve built a strong foundation in writing and research, and I’m especially drawn to work that prioritizes human connection: helping people feel heard, supported, and engaged.

My academic projects have explored everything from universal human rights to the emotional intelligence of the Southern Resident killer whales. Across all of it, my focus has been on making complex stories accessible and meaningful.

I’m particularly interested in roles that combine strategy with interpersonal communication—whether that’s in internal communications, employee engagement, client success, or corporate messaging. I thrive in collaborative environments, I’m detail-oriented, and I care deeply about creating clarity and trust in the way people work together.
